Finches Charity Partnership
The British Thoroughbred Retraining Centre

September 2021 marks the 30th anniversary for the BTRC and as we have teamed up together, here at Finches we have launched a bespoke design 'WASHBEAR' We spent the afternoon ensuring we captured the perfect image to create the beautiful design.

Washbear is BTRC mascot, she's full of character and some may say a little diva with a huge dream..... when she grows up she wants to become a race horse!

The BTRC is very close to our hearts, a charity we are delighted to be supporting.

We here at Finches have owned ex race horses for more than 20 years. The first being Percy a gentle giant with a huge heart. We sadly lost him in 2019 at the grand old age of 32.

At this time the brand was so close to launch but we couldn’t decide on the perfect name that felt right for us, until it just came to us Finch’s Gem (Percy) and here our brand was born “Finches"

We will be aiming to raise as much awareness, attention and not forgetting funds for the charity as we possibly can from the sale of the beautiful British made silks, by donating 100% of the profits from the Washbear collection to the BTRC.

As Finches customers are the best we would love for our customers to help support this amazing charity.

‘For the Welfare, Rehabilitation, Retraining and Rehoming of Retired Racehorses’

BTRC is dedicated to improving and promoting the welfare of retired race horses through education,
rehabilitation, retraining and suitable rehoming in order to ensure that our Thoroughbreds
have a rewarding and valuable life after their racing careers have ended.
